I think this is an inspiring way to get ideas from employees of Google, because this is how things are made after all, through passion. Although just because I like this idea in the workplace doesn't necessarily mean I like the idea for the classroom. I just don't think students would actually do it, and not everyone truly knows what they are "passionate" about. I personally cannot think of anything that I am so passionate about that I could take 20% of my school day to work on. If I had to think of a few things to work on that I am passionate about if I was give one day each week, I would be able to narrow it down to three categories: volunteerism/leadership, medical work, and maybe writing a short story. For volunteerism/leadership I would think of different ways we could better our school and community, such as making us more "college positive". For medical work I would learn of new procedures and how to do certain things. And lastly for writing a short story, this is always something I wanted to do but have always been discouraged by my friends or peers.
